Old Heroes and New Heroes in Denmark

The bombing of Copenhagen in 1807 by the English Army changed the world forever for the Danes. For various reasons it became the beginning of a new area where art and culture went hand in hand with science and the focus went from King and Army to the people and their living conditions and civil rights. All of that concluded in the Constitution in 1849 where the King gave all the power to the people.

Place and address: Our Ladies Church, Nørregade, Frue Plads, with a short walk to the Danish Parliament, Christiansborg Palace.
