"In the Footsteps of Hans Christian Andersen" is over! But you can still take the virtual tour. The groundbreaking sound-walk was a huge success - thousands of Copenhageners and tourists walked in Andersen’s footsteps.

As a part of the Hans Christian Andersen year 2005, Golden Days in Copenhagen told the story of Andersen’s life in Copenhagen, with the project In the Footsteps of Hans Christian Andersen. The story included the public urban spaces to an extent never seen before – and with a new kind of city walk combining words, sound and pictures the project brought the audience close to Hans Christian Andersen and 19^th century Copenhagen.
