Golden Days: A networking organisation focusing on history and culture in Copenhagen

From Golden Age to Breakthrough
Golden Days was founded in 1993 when a number of cultural institutions in Copenhagen joined to arrange a festival focusing on the Golden Age in Copenhagen. From 2002 the festival's historical focus on the Golden Age shifted to focus on other periods, where the people of Copenhagen could experience everything from the Copenhagen of King Christian 4th to the moderne breakthrough and inter-war period.

A hub of culture and history
Since 2003 Golden Days has been secretariat for other cultural projects that, like the historical festival, have the dissemination of Copenhagen culture and historie as their main goal, in cooperation with the city's cultural institutions.

Coordination, cultural production and communications
The tasks facing the Golden Days secretariat today are development, coordination, production and marketing of cultural experiences, with the goal of creating knowledge, narratives and dissemination. The secretariat's daily tasks include development and coordination of festivals and historical demonstrations for the production of cultural events, marketing platforms and book publications. The Golden Days secretariat sees it as their upmost task to create new realisations and to make the people of Copenhagen more knowledgable through any and every project in the secretariat.
