Is love just love? Or does it always contain a notion of eternity - even when we know it can be uncertain and fragile? We lose, suffer, shatter and break up. Is it possible to say “I love you” and at the same time doubt whether you will love tomorrow? Is that true love? In the church, we talk about God as love - a love that doesn't have to be earned by being sweet, funny, generous or wise. It is a love that is already there.
